I love being creative.

A photograph I took of a Spreadwing Damselfly
became the pattern on 6 yards of Kona Cotton which became
my curtains.
I enjoyed the entire process.

I love bees on zinnias.

Sewing Machine

Once again I have fallen in love
 with my sewing machine.

The thrill of
 winding the bobbin and lowering the pressure foot
pulsed through my veins this morning.

I am back sewing!

I am missing the Olympics.
So I did a bit of research .
I fell in love with Hestia, Goddess of the Hearth.

I am keeping the home flame burning bright.

I watched Monarch lay eggs

in the Milkweed.

I had left the vines that had wound
their way in the back peonies.

I shall watch for caterpillars.

I am smitten with the Zinnias.

I water them twice a day.
They give me hope.

Hummingbirds

Every summer I look forward to spending time with
the Hummingbirds.

I always miss them when they leave in the Autumn.

Inner Artist

In June my mind said, "Plant zinnia seeds."

My inner Artist said, "Zinnias will be beautiful food for the butterflies when everything else is burned up."

She was right!
