Female Northern Cardinal

A new to the deck female
Northern Cardinal came while I was reading.
She made little chirping sounds.
She was shy.
I fell in love.

Grapefruit with salt

I put salt on my grapefruit.
My Father always did too.

I am head over heels crazy for Fleur de Sel.
It is a flake salt that is soft and delicious.
It makes my grapefruit extra juicy.
Just little bit does the trick.

The Medlar

I am in love with the Medlar Tree.
My friend sent me seeds from her ancient tree.

I am reading about the Medlar.

It was well known in the Middle Ages for its fruit.

I think it is the tree of the Fairies.

I hope to grow a Medlar.

The Medlar is a tree filled with hope.

Christmas Eve

This morning I fell in love with my Grandmother.
She was born in 1889 and died in 1961.
I was a young girl when she died.
She was also my godmother.
I was named after her. My middle name is Ann.
I have a few of her treasures.
Her little wedding purse and a couple of necklaces
she made for me are framed.
They hang in my bedroom next to my dresser.
It was kind of my Aunt Clair to give me the little purse.

St Ann is my patron Saint.
My Grandmother gave me this tiny
picture of St. Ann and Mary.

It is in my office where I can see it every day.

It is a very special New Moon today.
It is a Christmas Eve Grandmother Moon.

It is the New Cardinal Moon of December.

In Celtic Astrology
today begins The Birch Tree.
For me, today begins "Graceful Days."
The White Stag and the White Unicorn go hand in glove
in my magical world.
I praise Mary.
I look towards her for guidance.

I love the beautiful pictures of her at Christmas.
I think about her giving birth far from home.
I think about how hard it must have been for her
to be away from her mother, St. Ann.

This little statue was always in my Mother's kitchen.
Today it is in my office.
I treasure it.

There are many gifts from St. Nick.
This year I am grateful for my Grandmother.

I am grateful for Grandmother Moon.

I am grateful for the Cardinals that come to my backyard.

I wish you and yours a Merry Christmas.
May you know the love of Grandmother Moon.

May you hear the Angels sing.

It is a sacred night

full of magic.

The Internet is magical

I remember seeing Santa when I was little.
I remember the magic.

I have a small collection of Santas.
Each one has a story.

Each Santa has magic.
Each one charms me.

This morning while doing my
my daily research I learned
The Night Before Christmas
was first published
December 23, 1823.

I watch the BBC program Merlin.
I watch on my computer.
I love the Dragon.

Today while I was working I found myself
falling in love with the internet.
It is magical to me the way it works.
It is magical the way I can be with you.

Falling in Love

I fall in love every day.

I never know with whom or what I will fall in love with.

I only know I will fall in love at some point in my day.
Once in love I will always be in love.

I know I am falling in love for
I will feel rapid heart beat and I will gasp.
I will smile as I stare at that which I have become
smitten with.

Last November I fell in love with a hat
I found at an estate sale.
I searched for a photograph of the young W.W. II
Wave that wore the hat.
When I found one, at her sale, I fell in love.

One thing has lead to another and I have found
Eleanor Roosevelt. I fell in love with her this week.

Last Summer when the heat and drought was prolonged
many people were saying how much they hated Summer.
I had the idea of finding all sorts of reasons to love Summer.
I found a new love every day. I began writing about my loves
in a journal titled "Falling in love with Summer."

Autumn and Spring are easy seasons to love.
They are often mild days and I am outdoors with the birds and butterflies. Spring is the season of hope as we plant seeds
and watch them sprout. Autumn is harvest and much busyness.
Winter can be more difficult. The cold and dark often keeps us inside. Snow and ice can be treacherous.
Once the Holidays are over many people suffer from
Winter Blahs. Yet I love Winter.  I love the quietude.
I love the time of contemplation.
I love going within. My hermit loves to sit near the fire.

I have been thinking about sharing with you my loves.
Hopefully you too will fall in love everyday.
Now that Winter Solstice is officially here I think it would be a good time to start sharing my everyday loves.

Today I fell in love with falling in love.
Today I fell in love with my childhood.

I fell in love with anticipation.

Today I fell in love with my friend in England
and my friend in Colorado.

Today I fell in love once again with romance and chants.

Today I fell in love with Smart TV.

It was 45 years ago, November 1966, when I saw the movie
Fahrenheit 451.

It was 45 years ago I fell in love with the idea of a large
 flat tv on the wall.
Today one is hanging in my reading room.
 I do believe in miracles.
I do believe in falling in love.

Please join me and let us fall in love with life every day.
Join me as we believe together in the power of love.

Happy Winter Solstice! Happy Falling in Love!
