I only know I will fall in love at some point in my day.
Once in love I will always be in love.
I know I am falling in love for
I will feel rapid heart beat and I will gasp.I will smile as I stare at that which I have become
smitten with.
Last November I fell in love with a hat
I found at an estate sale.
I searched for a photograph of the young W.W. II
Wave that wore the hat.
When I found one, at her sale, I fell in love.
One thing has lead to another and I have found
Eleanor Roosevelt. I fell in love with her this week.
Last Summer when the heat and drought was prolonged
many people were saying how much they hated Summer.
I had the idea of finding all sorts of reasons to love Summer.
I found a new love every day. I began writing about my loves
in a journal titled "Falling in love with Summer."
Autumn and Spring are easy seasons to love.
They are often mild days and I am outdoors with the birds and butterflies. Spring is the season of hope as we plant seeds
and watch them sprout. Autumn is harvest and much busyness.
Winter can be more difficult. The cold and dark often keeps us inside. Snow and ice can be treacherous.
Once the Holidays are over many people suffer from
Winter Blahs. Yet I love Winter. I love the quietude.
I love the time of contemplation.
I love going within. My hermit loves to sit near the fire.
I have been thinking about sharing with you my loves.
Hopefully you too will fall in love everyday.
Now that Winter Solstice is officially here I think it would be a good time to start sharing my everyday loves.
Today I fell in love with falling in love.
Today I fell in love with my childhood.
I fell in love with anticipation.
Today I fell in love with my friend in England
and my friend in Colorado.
Today I fell in love once again with romance and chants.
It was 45 years ago, November 1966, when I saw the movie
Fahrenheit 451.
It was 45 years ago I fell in love with the idea of a large
flat tv on the wall.
Today one is hanging in my reading room.
I do believe in miracles.
I do believe in falling in love.
Please join me and let us fall in love with life every day.
Join me as we believe together in the power of love.
Happy Winter Solstice! Happy Falling in Love!

ReplyDeleteYour 'child' tugs at my heart...so sweet, so vulnerable, such an 'old soul' in those precious eyes...
ReplyDeleteIf you get a chance look up the monks of Glenstall Abbey and Noirin Ni Rian,I got the CD over Christmas and Mary's laments are soulful.I think you will like it.I had fantastic dreams after listening - an old woman in a green dress and long red hair visited me in a vivid dream - but I dont know what she said :(
